Otto’s

Quick Bite: Delicious food and wonderful service. Down to earth supper club vibes.

Service: Waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. I had a question about what wine to get, and they happily made suggestions.

Ambiance: If you’re looking for patio dining on the westside, this is a great choice. Otto’s sits back off Mineral Point on a slope, so the outdoor patio is about a story up. It’s fully covered, but a gentle breeze and a large patio make it a great outdoor dining space.

Large Groups: We never saw the indoor dining space, but judging from the size of the patio, this place is large-group friendly.

Moroccan Crab Cakes — These were fun! I’ve never had a crab cake with this flavor makeup before (almonds, hazelnuts, curry, tomato ginger jam), and it made us realize Otto’s draws inspiration from North Africa.

Taste: Maple Leaf Duck Breast — This was heaven. I’m really coming around to stone fruits paired with gamey meats. I didn’t even realize the fruit was cherry until I sat down to write this — historically not a fan! And those mashed potatoes were everything.

Yeah, No: We celebrated our 4th anniversary here, and Otto’s earned a permanent spot on our special-occasion list.
