What to Eat Near Edgewood High School and West High School 

I'm a school counselor and a foodie — here's where I recommend eating around Edgewood and West High if you're in town for a game, campus visit, or just need a good meal between pick up and drop off.

Lunch - 

My Go To's - 

Alimentari - A sandwich so big that depending on the time eaten, you won't need dinner. 

Order the:  Smoked Turkey

Butterbird - You might fall asleep after this meal. 

Order the:  Badger Hot Chicken Sandwich or Crispy Chicken Caesar Sandwich with Fries and Green Garlic Mayo  

HWY1- A lighter Tex Mex inspired meal.

Order the: Tijuana Chicken Caesar Salad

Everly - allergen friendly!

Stella's - famous cheesy bread in sandwich form

Milio's - local Jimmy Johns but better

Pasture and Plenty - healthy, light, and quick with strong community roots

Dinner-

My Go To's 

Fya Syde- Hearty and flavorful Jamaican food. While technically open for lunch, I save it for dinner because I'll fall asleep. 

Order the: Oxtail Birria Tacos or Oxtail Stew 

Cadre - Approachable and filling French Food.

Order the: Moules a La Betonne 

Turkish Kitchen- Thoughtfully made and generously portioned Turkish food. 

Order the: Appetizer Plate, Lamb Shish Kebab, and Baklava

Marie's Soul Food - the most authentic soul food in Madison
